| The Seoul Railroad Station was built in 1925 by the Japanese architect Skamoto Yasushi, under the direction of the Japanese Goverment General during the Japanese occupation. The main building is characterized by an eclectic architectural style of a Byzantine dome over the Renaissance design, which was imitated from the European style popular since the 18 century. It is the oldest passenger train station in Korea still in service. |
